The patron of Cappelle sul Tavo is Saint Paschal Baylon, celebrated on 17 May.
Since 1976, during the Ferragosto days, the Palio delle pupe is held, a competition among the town's various districts inspired by the «ballo della pupa» (doll dance): prizes are awarded to the papier-mâché figures prepared by participants. The town also holds the Church of the Beata Vergine Maria Lauretana and the Fonte Barco spring.
