The patroness of Civitella Casanova is the Madonna delle Grazie, celebrated on Pentecost Sunday and the following Monday and Tuesday; the village holds the Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie.
The municipality also holds the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Cona, the Chiesa di San Michele and the Chiesa di San Rocco. The calendar includes the festival known as «Lu Sand'Andonie», held on the Sunday before 17 January in honour of Sant'Antonio Abate: a parade through the streets of the village in which figures in costume ceremonially bring the animals of the peasant tradition, such as mules, goats, dogs, geese, rabbits and horses.
