The patron of Castronuovo di Sant'Andrea is Saint Andrew Avellino, celebrated on 10 November, as well as on the third Sunday of May and on 13 August.
The Chiesa di Sant'Andrea Avellino, in the town centre, is dedicated to the saint, whose name also became part of the town's own name.
