The patron of Montepaone is Saint Felix the Martyr of the Theban Legion, celebrated on 12 August.
On 8 March, the votive feast of the Immaculate Conception is held, dating back to 1783: during that year's terrible earthquake, a tsunami also occurred, lasting all night, but Montepaone suffered neither casualties nor damage. On Good Friday, a morning procession is held through the streets of the town with the statue of the Ecce Homo. On 1 January, the feast of the Christ Child, families receive a visit from the statue of the Bambinello. The town also holds the Church of San Bruno e Beato Lanuino.
