The patron of San Sostene is San Sostene of Chalcedon, martyr, whose feast is celebrated on 10 September (second Sunday of September) in the historic centre of the village.
The calendar of feasts includes, on 14, 15 and 16 August, the much-loved feast of San Rocco in the historic centre, with a characteristic fair, a five-a-side football tournament, performances by singers and folk groups and the dance of the «ciuccio», a pyrotechnic dummy that closes the celebrations; from 17 to 20 August, in the Marina hamlet, the feast of the Madonna del Rosario, with the procession of the statue, the fish festival and the closing fireworks.
