The feast of Saint Anne (sant'Anna), patroness of Staiti, is the culminating moment of the community's religious and civil life: emigrants return from all over Italy and Europe, along with devotees from nearby villages. The days of the novena, from 16 to 24 July, are marked by the sound of drums calling the faithful; the feast falls on 26 July.
Staiti is renowned for its «maccarruni e carni i crapa» (pasta with goat meat), a typical local dish promoted at the sagra on the second Sunday of August. Among the products grown locally is the red apple of Staiti, spherical in shape, growing in clusters, fragrant and of medium-small size.
