The patron saint of Villaricca is Saint Roch of Montpellier: the «religious feast in honour of the Madonna dell'Arco, Saint Roch of Montpellier and Saint Januarius, bishop and martyr» is celebrated every year in the second week of September.
On the two days following the feast, the Ballata del Giglio is held, featuring a wooden structure about twenty metres tall carried through the town's streets with the collaboration of the lifting teams from Brusciano, Casavatore and Nola. Among the town's most notable places of worship is the parish church of Santa Maria dell'Arco, built in the early 16th century and renovated in 1700 on the remains of the ancient church of San Simplicio, which holds an icon of the Madonna and Child dating from 1300.
