Mugnano di Napoli

Province: Naples · Region: Campania · Population: 34,504 · Postal code: 80018

Mugnano is one of the old hamlets of the Kingdom of Naples, grown on the axis climbing from the city toward Aversa: the centre keeps the parish church of San Biagio — whose February feast includes the traditional blessing of throats — and rural courtyards absorbed by twentieth-century growth.

Today it is a trading and residential town of the northern belt, with one of the area's busiest textile markets. Its strength is the network: metro and road axes put Naples, Capodichino and the Aversa plain minutes away. A sound foothold for exploring workaday Campania.
