The patron of Palagano is Saint John, celebrated on 27 December in the Church of San Giovanni Apostolo ed Evangelista.
The town holds the Torre Campanaria and overlooks the Poggio Dragone Site of Community Importance. The town's hamlets have their own parishes, such as that of Costrignano, dedicated to Saint Margaret, as well as the churches of San Martino and Santa Giulia.
