The patrons of Pievepelago are Santa Maria Assunta (Assumption of Mary) and San Teodoro. The feast of Santa Maria Assunta is held on 14 August, with the procession of the two confraternities of the 'bianchi' and the 'rossi' through the streets of the village and fireworks at nine o'clock.
The feast of San Teodoro is held in Pievepelago on the last Sunday of August and on the first Sunday of September. On 16 August, in Roccapelago, the Sagra di San Rocco takes place, with food stands and concerts; the municipality also holds the Museo delle mummie di Roccapelago.
