The patron of Sestola is Saint Nicholas, celebrated on 6 December.
Monte Cimone, at 2,165 metres, dominates the entire Sestola area and that of the neighbouring towns. On its summit stands a small chapel, built in the early 20th century, dedicated to the Madonna delle Nevi and celebrated on 5 August. The town holds the Rocca di Sestola and the Church of the Madonna del Rosario.
