The patron of Montenero Sabino is San Cataldo, celebrated on 14 August; the village holds the Chiesa di San Cataldo Vescovo.
In the last weekend of July the Sagra dei Maccheroni a Fezze (now in its twenty-third edition) is held, dedicated to a hand-made pasta typical of the Sabina area. The patron's feast is a week rich in cultural and traditional events of the village; also worth remembering is the music event on singer-songwriting «Chitarre e Cantine». The municipality also holds the Castello Orsini.
