The patronal feast of Bomarzo in honour of Saint Anselm the bishop is celebrated on 24 April, while on 25 April the Palio di Sant'Anselmo is run between the five districts into which the town is divided, Dentro, Borgo, Poggio, Croci and Madonna del Piano: the date has been kept by tradition since the seventeenth century, even though it does not exactly coincide with the saint's feast, and alongside the Palio the Renaissance historical procession in costume «Vicini Ursini de Castro Polimartij» takes place.
On the third Sunday of June the translation of the saint's body is remembered, whose burial in 1647, through the interest of Duke Ippolito Lante della Rovere, was moved from the altar of San Sebastiano to the main altar, with a procession and a band concert; on Easter Monday it is traditional to visit the Santuario della Madonna di Montecasoli.
