The patron saint of Carrodano is Saint Felicity, celebrated on the first Sunday of August in the parish church of the main village, at Carrodano Inferiore.
The town, located in the Vara valley and included within the Montemarcello-Magra-Vara regional nature park, is divided into several hamlets each with its own church: the parish church of San Giovanni Battista in the hamlet of Mattarana and that of San Bartolomeo at Carrodano Superiore. The territory, among the hills that separate the Vara valley from the sea, preserves a landscape that is still largely rural.
