Patron saint festival In 250 days
Saint John the Baptist, patron of the most populous village of the Cinque Terre
📅 Every year, on 24 June
Monterosso al Mare celebrates Saint John the Baptist on 24 June; its parish church, in the historic centre of the most populous village of the Cinque Terre, still bears on its side the mark of the water level reached during the dramatic floods of 1966 and 2011.
