In the hamlet of Strada they still speak a jargon that only they understand: the local pedlars made it for themselves — among each other they were the Picapòrte — so as to know one another on the road. It is much simplified today, but it has not disappeared.
The place is old: at Curino there is a Neolithic dolmen, a small burial chamber of ortho-gneiss prisms, with four upright blocks for walls and three slabs to cover it. The name, on the other hand, is said to come from Rocca Vineale, from the vines. The population is 746.
