Cerete has two patron saints, one for each of its two parts: Saint Vincent of Saragossa in Cerete Basso, celebrated on 22 January, and Saints Philip and James in Cerete Alto, celebrated on 3 May.
The municipality of 1,646 inhabitants in the province of Bergamo also holds the Santuario della Natività di Maria, dedicated to Maria Bambina and celebrated on the first Sunday of September with the statue carried in procession through the streets of the hamlet.
