A single family worked in this village for four centuries. The Fantoni — carvers, sculptors, architects — had lived at Rovetta since the fourteenth century and kept their workshop open from the fifteenth to the early nineteenth; their house with its workshop, in the middle of the village, is a museum today. The parish church of All Saints is in practice their catalogue: the altar of the Madonna, the pulpit of 1780, the choir, the sacristy, the two angels of the high altar and the bell tower forty-eight metres high, built to Andrea Fantoni's design. Andrea is buried at the foot of the altar he made himself.

Three thousand nine hundred and fifty-three inhabitants in the province of Bergamo, on a plateau at about six hundred metres, two kilometres from Clusone, below the Presolana. In the same church hangs the high altarpiece, the Madonna in glory with saints painted by Giambattista Tiepolo in 1734 and set two years later inside a sumptuous frame from the Fantoni workshop: it was stolen in 1973 and recovered two months later. In 1967 the whole municipal territory was placed under protection for its natural and architectural value.
