The patron of Songavazzo is San Bartolomeo the apostle, celebrated on 24 August; the municipality holds the Chiesa di San Bartolomeo.
Among the village's most important events are the Festa degli Alpini with the Trofeo Penne Nere footrace, the Festa in Malga, a celebration of mountain farming activities, and above all the famous feast in honour of the Beata Vergine del Carmine, on the third Sunday of July, with the fair, the Palio degli Asini (donkey race) and the traditional procession with the 'fantoniana' statue carried by hand through the streets of the village.
