The patron saint of Montichiari is Saint Pancras, celebrated on 12 May in the parish church named after him.
In the hamlet of Novagli, since the 1980s, the Palio dei Novagli has been held annually: a donkey-and-cart race run on a circular course through the houses of the hamlet. The town also hosts the Centro Fiera di Montichiari, at the centre of an area strategic both for its number of production sites and its tourism potential. Montichiari also holds the Castello Bonoris and the Archaeological Museum.
