The patrons of Barni are Saints Peter and Paul, celebrated on 29 June; the municipality holds the church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.
In Barni it is the custom to celebrate Saint Anthony with an incanto (an auction): in the days before 17 January the faithful bring to the side chapel dedicated to him, in the main church, gifts for the saint, generally local foodstuffs such as salami, vegetables, fruit and cheeses, but also handmade products and live animals such as hens and rabbits. On 17 January, after the morning Mass, the gifts are sold at auction in the churchyard and the proceeds go to the parish; since 2016 the incanto has been joined by the blessing of salt for animals and of farm machinery.
