Blessagno appears for the first time in a document of 852, but until 2021 it had no coat of arms: none was on deposit anywhere. So the municipality had a new one designed, put it to consultation on its own website, and the president of the Republic granted it: two stars for the village and for Lura, a lion taken from the arms of the old feudal lords.
At Lura stands the oratory of San Silvestro, which is two churches in one: to the old one, of which a wall with blind arches from the tenth century remains, another was attached with its apse on the opposite side, and the result is a building with two chancels and no façade. Inside, a nursing Madonna frescoed in 1506 by Giovanni Andrea de Magistris and a cycle of the months painted along the base of the wall.
