The patron saint of Crema and of the diocese of Crema is Saint Pantaleon, physician and martyr: his feast is celebrated every 10 June, both in the town and throughout the diocesan territory, currently led by Bishop Daniele Gianotti.
In the hamlet of Santa Maria della Croce, the fair of the same name is held every year on the weekend closest to 25 March, while 3 April marks the anniversary of the Marian apparition to the young Caterina degli Uberti; in the middle week of August, meanwhile, a traditional culinary event takes place in the central Piazza Aldo Moro. Among the town's landmarks are the Duomo, Palazzo Pretorio and the Museo civico di Crema e del Cremasco.
