The patron saint of Magenta is Saint Martin of Tours, celebrated on 11 November in the Basilica di San Martino. The town's co-patrons are Saint Roch, on 16 August, Saint Blaise, on 3 February, and Saint Crescentia.
The San Rocco district, next to the church of the same name, is celebrated on 2 September, while on 16 August the local fair dedicated to the saint's cult is held: the church has a set of five bells. On 3 February, for Saint Blaise, the cattle and agricultural machinery fair takes place. On the first Sunday of June the town re-enacts the historic Battle of Magenta of 1859, while the whole month of June, known as Giugno Magentino, offers events with art, culture, music and theatre.
