The patron of Mesero is Saint Bernard, celebrated on 20 August in the Shrine of the Madonna Addolorata and San Bernardo.
The plague that devastated Lombardy in 1630 had almost no effect in Mesero: the fact is remembered through the residents' vow to perpetually celebrate the feast of the Visitation of Mary. The town also holds the old parish church of the Presentation of the Lord.
