Until 1960 Trezzano was a farming village. Then came the new Vigevanese road, and with it Renzo Zingone, who built a whole quarter here: 390,000 square metres of housing, 700,000 of industry, 110,000 of services. Four years later he applied the same idea on a larger scale and founded Zingonia, in the Bergamo area.
The coat of arms carries the pales of the Ponce de León and the lilies of the Landolina: the fief passed from a Spanish marquis to his Sicilian brother-in-law by will, in 1653, and stayed with the Landolina until 1796. In the twelfth-century church of Sant'Ambrogio there are frescoes by Luini. There are 20,018 residents.
