During the 13th century, this Lombard municipality was a major stronghold for the Cathars in northern Italy. The religious movement thrived here until Oldrado da Tresseno, the podestà of Milan, ordered their brutal annihilation, putting an abrupt end to this medieval chapter.
Granted honorary city status in September 1989, modern Concorezzo is home to roughly 15,100 residents. Situated in the Vimercatese area just six kilometers northeast of Monza, it functions as a strategic suburban bridge between neighboring Arcore and Agrate Brianza.
