The patron saints of Meda are Saints Aimo and Vermondo and the Nativity of Mary, celebrated on 8 September.
In 1194 the town's ancient monastery hosted Emperor Henry VI and his wife Constance of Sicily, already pregnant with their son, the future Frederick II, travelling from Germany: the episode is recorded by a plaque set on a wall bordering the churchyard of San Vittore. The town also holds the church of Santa Maria Nascente, the Sanctuary of the Holy Crucifix and Villa Antona Traversi.
