The arms explain by themselves what kind of place this is: the star for the valour of its people, the seven ears of wheat for the fields, and the bell, which stands for the community because it was by its sound that the hours were measured here. The village passed to Pavia in 1164; then it was the Giorgi's, the Dal Verme's, and for two years, from 1485, Girolamo Riario's, lord of Forlì and Imola, who sold it to the Botta.
In July 2015 a group of local cooks made the heaviest agnolotto in the world: a hundred and forty-eight kilos, against the twenty of the previous record, which belonged to a Russian chef. They also make the schita here, which the comune has marked as its own; and Paolo Virzì filmed in the village.
