The patron of Garlasco is Our Lady of the Assumption, celebrated on the second Sunday of September in the Church of the Beata Vergine Assunta.
The day includes processions in period costume, palio contests among the districts, flag-throwing displays, historic markets and food stalls. Besides the September feast, on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday a historic country fair is held at the Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine della Bozzola, drawing thousands of pilgrims and visitors from all over the Lomellina. The town also holds the Teatro Martinetti and the Church of San Rocco.
