The patron of Golasecca is the Assumption of Mary, celebrated on 15 August in the Church of Santa Maria Assunta.
In the Chapel of San Rocco, dating to the 14th century, the saint's wooden statue is kept and carried in procession each year through the town's streets, in memory of a vow made by the population in 1817 to appease a typhus epidemic. The town also holds the Museo GAM - Golasecca Archeologia Multimediale, dedicated to the prehistoric culture that bears the town's name.
