The patron saint of Malnate is Saint Martin, celebrated on 11 November in the Church of San Martino.
Since the first Saturday of September, for 76 years, the classic Sagra Settembrina has been held at the parish: local cuisine, musical guests, sports, games and exhibitions welcome the townspeople. At the end of August, the San Lorenzo parish instead organises «Gurone in Festa». The municipal territory also holds the Parco Valle del Lanza and the Molera quarries natural monument.
