Alzano celebrates its patronal feast on the occasion of the Nativity of Mary, on the fourth Sunday of September; the municipality holds the Chiesa della Natività di Maria Vergine. On the following Monday the traditional livestock and goods fair takes place.
Saint Lawrence the martyr (san Lorenzo Martire) is also listed as patron of the municipality, with a feast day on 10 August. The municipality also holds the Cappelletta votiva della Madonna di Marzo and the Parco fluviale Po e Orba.
