The patron of Carpeneto is Saint George, celebrated on 23 April with the Fiera di San Giorgio, to whom the Chiesa di San Giorgio is dedicated.
On the second Friday of August the «Notte Magica» takes place, around 15 August in the hamlet of Madonna della Villa the Sagra dello Struzzo (Ostrich Festival) and in the last week of the month the Festa del Borgo Sant'Alberto; the municipality of 991 inhabitants in the province of Alessandria also holds the Castello di Carpeneto.
