The arms of Trisobbio carry a castle on a hill, for the old Castrum Trexobrii and the two village gates, and three silver plinths for the three sober men the place is said to spring from: brothers, they say, of the seven drunkards who founded Strevi.
The castle stood by the early thirteenth century and keeps that plan; the main changes came at the close of the fifteenth, under the Malaspina. A ruin by the late nineteenth century, it was raised again by the restoration begun in 1913 with the architect Alfredo D'Andrade: that is its face today, the battlemented tower over the roofs. Castle and park have been the town's since 1989.
