Gremiasco lies on the right bank of the Curone, scattered over some twenty hamlets and farmsteads. A Doria fief, it passed under Savoy protection in 1735 while still governing itself under the Doria Pamphili Landi princes, and became a comune only in 1818; under Fascism it lost that standing again and was absorbed into San Sebastiano Curone.
The parish church was rebuilt in 1697 over a Romanesque pieve, with a single nave, side chapels and baroque fittings. The old apse in worked stone survives against one flank of the new building: long used as a storeroom, it was restored and now holds the Blessed Sacrament. The coat of arms gathers the valley's work and the village itself: a tree with three ears of wheat, the medieval tower of the centre, a star for faith and, above the tower, the arms of the Colombassi.
