Sardigliano stands on the inland hills that close the Scrivia valley on its right, where the valley opens towards the plain; in Piedmontese it is Sandijan. Its main watercourses are five small streams: the Predazzo, the Brutto, the Angiassi, the Cuniolo and the Sarzeto. The town gonfalon is a cloth divided lengthwise into yellow and red.
The parish church of San Secondo dates from the sixteenth century; an eighteenth-century oratory with the same dedication stands at Sant'Antonio. In the hamlet of Malvino the church is San Fedele: a yellow front under a pediment, a painted panel above the doorway and the red and yellow bell tower with its onion dome.
