The patron of Montiglio Monferrato is Saint Lawrence (san Lorenzo), celebrated on 10 August; the municipality holds the Pieve di San Lorenzo.
The village is also known for its sundials and for the Fiera del Tartufo (truffle fair), held in autumn. In Regione Stazione, the recreation area with an artificial lake called the «Lago di Codana» has been there since the mid-1960s. The municipality also holds the castles of Montiglio Monferrato, Colcavagno and Rinco.
