Feast of Sant'Eusebio
📅 Every year, on the last Sunday of August
On the last Sunday of August Muzzano, a municipality of 614 inhabitants in the province of Biella, celebrates its patron Sant'Eusebio.
Muzzano is a village in the upper Elvo valley, province of Biella; in local speech the name is Muscian, or Mussan. You recognise it by the gravel yard in front of the parish church of Sant'Eusebio, the town hall alongside and the war memorial in the middle, a bronze eagle on a stone column.
The flank of the church is worth more than its front: high up the wall is left as bare stone and brick, below run the yellow-plastered side chapels with round oculi, and on the right an arcaded porch widens the entrance. The white bell tower, its clock halfway up, rises well above the roof.
