Castelletto Uzzone

Province: Cuneo · Region: Piedmont · Population: 365 · Postal code: 12070

Castelletto Uzzone is a village in the upper Langa, in the Cuneo province, on the border with Savona. It never had an emblem of its own: when a royal decree of 1929 joined it to Scaletta Uzzone, the only coat of arms around was the neighbour's, and it has stayed in use ever since, never formally granted.

It is azure, with a gold cross crossed by a silver ladder and a gold lion climbing it; the gonfalon is sky-blue. The hamlets are San Michele and Scaletta Uzzone, and for a place this small there are two parish churches, the Nativity of the Virgin and Saint Anthony Abbot.
