Saint Peter the Apostle, patron of the land of the Shoe Museum
📅 Every year, on 29 June
Gargallo celebrates Saint Peter the Apostle on 29 June, in the church dedicated to him.
Gargallo is in the province of Novara, a village of a little under two thousand people. Its arms are blue, with a silver bend crossed by a red castle: a single tower in the middle and square merlons, the ones heraldry calls Guelph.
The parish church is dedicated to Saint Peter. A porch of arches runs across the pale plastered front, while the flank of the nave has been left in bare stone; the bell tower rises behind the gable and shows its bells.
