Pogno

Province: Novara · Region: Piedmont · Population: 1,538 · Postal code: 28076

The parish church of Pogno, Santi Pietro e Paolo, goes back to the thirteenth century; but for almost two centuries the title lay elsewhere: from 1791 to 1986 the parish was seated at Prerro, in the sixteenth-century church of San Bernardo.

Above the roofs rises the stone bell tower of the parish church, with two clock faces and a belfry opened by arches; the church beside it is plastered yellow and roofed with stone slabs. On the arms a silver crozier set in bend crosses a mitre marked with a black cross; next to it, a silver cross on red.
