The patroness of Almese is the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, celebrated on 8 September in the modern building constructed in 1963 on the Almese plain, whose bell tower holds five bells and which replaced the old church of Santa Maria di Castelletto.
The town's hamlets have their own patrons: Rivera holds its patronal feast on 26 December, the day of Saint Stephen the Protomartyr, to whom its church is dedicated; Milanere instead celebrates the Assumption of Mary on 15 August. The left-bank variant of the Dora Riparia along the historic route of the Via Francigena passes through Almese. The municipal territory also holds the Roman villa of Almese.
