The patrons of Chiusa di San Michele are Saint Peter and Saint Paul, celebrated on 29 June; the municipality holds the parish church of San Pietro Apostolo.
On the third weekend of September the «Gusto di Meliga» event is held, part of the Gustovalsusa calendar, to promote the Pan ëd Melia (cornmeal bread), a product registered under the collective trademark «Pan ëd melia dla Ciusa». The municipality also holds the Sacra di San Michele, the Cappella della Madonna della Neve and the church of Santa Croce.
