Druogno

Druogno sits in the Val Vigezzo. Albogno and Coimo were municipalities in their own right until a royal decree joined them to Druogno in 1928. The arms join the red and blue pales of the valley to a three-peaked mountain. Above Albogno, at the Alpe Burial, the Usuelli refuge belongs to the hamlet's people, who run it themselves.

The big summer mountain camp served for a few years after the war as a tuberculosis preventorium; its east wing now houses the UniversiCà museum, devoted to the trades of the valley. The library occupies the deconsecrated church of San Giulio, together with a small collection of old postcards.
