The patron of Fobello is Saint James (San Giacomo), celebrated on 25 July.
Several ancient traditions are still alive in Fobello: on the last Sunday of Carnival the «Paniccia», a mixed-vegetable soup with tripe and small salamis, is handed out in the main square; among the crafts, the making of puncetto is important, a needle lace used to embellish tablemats, handkerchiefs and, in the past, sacred vestments and local costumes. The municipality also holds the Museo Tirozzo-Carestia and the Mostra Museo Vincenzo Lancia.
