The patron saint of Casamassima is Saint Roch, celebrated on the second Sunday of September.
The town is known as the «blue town», due to the numerous farmhouses, mostly restored, that characterise streets such as Via Paliodoro and Chiasso Bongustai, among the most beloved and photographed views of the village. On the second Sunday of October, the Historic Procession of Conrad IV of Swabia is held, re-enacting a historical episode that really took place in April 1252, documented by an original parchment kept in the town archive. The town also holds the church of Santo Stefano and the Castle of Casamassima.
