The patroness of Carovigno is Our Lady of Belvedere: her feast, the town's most important religious celebration, is held on the Monday, Tuesday and Saturday after Easter, with the Battitura della Nzegna, an age-old tradition that is its main purpose. Co-patrons are Saints James and Philip, celebrated on 17 August.
In the Chiesa Nuova, built on the western slope of the hill, some of the statues carried in the Good Friday Procession of the Mysteries are kept. In the chapel of Serranova, the Crucifix is held, carried in procession every 3 May to ward off calamities or drought. The town also holds the Dentice di Frasso Castle and the Aragonese Tower of Guaceto.
