The patron of Serracapriola is Saint Mercurius, celebrated on 5 September.
Every 2 July, the feast day of Our Lady of Grace, the people of nearby Chieuti still walk at dawn on a pilgrimage to the Convento di Serracapriola, to thank the Virgin for a grace received. The town also holds the Abbey of Sant'Agata Martire and the Castello di Serracapriola.
