The patron saint of Casarano is Saint John the Almsgiver, celebrated on the third Sunday of May.
Also deeply felt is the feast of Saint Barbara, on 4 December: the saint's statue, protector of the miners, is kept for the rest of the year in the Miners' Circle, returning there in a procession after the feast day. Also well attended is the impressive Good Friday procession, organised by the local confraternity together with the Holy Week rites and the celebrations in honour of the Immaculate Conception. The town also holds the church of San Domenico and that of Santa Maria della Croce.
